CHEF IVAN PUGH TO BRING AWARD-WINNING FLAVOR TO AAA TEXAS NHRA FALL NATIONALS

Chef will bring awe-inspiring meals back to Texas Motorplex

ENNIS, Texas (Aug. 2, 2011) – The award-winning and highly acclaimed chef Ivan Pugh will once again be offering his homemade creations to the Champion’s Club guests during the AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals at Texas Motorplex, Sept. 22-25, 2011.

Chef Pugh has been able to combine his love of Cajun food with the Southern home-style favorites fans crave during a full day of championship NHRA Full Throttle drag racing.

Last year the crowd was awed with delights including a pecan-crusted chicken, coconut shrimp, Alligator chicken jambalaya, grilled pork chops, brisket and more along with the all the mouth-watering sides and fixin’s to make each meal memorable.

Champion’s Club ticket holders are treated to Chef Pugh’s once daily, along with dessert, complimentary beverages, limited edition items in the goodie bags and more. There is also a full bar and high-def TV’s in the air-conditioned Champion’s Club – making it the perfect VIP experience for veteran fans who have been at the Motorplex watching the quickest and fastest racing since the gates first opened in 1986 or the newest fans who are just now experiencing what it means to feel the thunder of a Top Fuel car.

“Having such a highly acclaimed chef in Champion’s Club just makes the entire event incredible for our fans,” Texas Motorplex owner Billy Meyer said. “He does an amazing job at his Alligator Café restaurant in Dallas and we’re lucky to be able to bring him to the Motorplex during one of our biggest events of the season.”

Champion’s Club tickets are still available. Go to www.texasmotorplex.com or call Texas Motorplex at (800) MOTORPLEX for more information.

Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility ever constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between March and November each year and also features the Champion’s Club – an 11,000 square-foot facility – that serves fully catered events throughout the year.
