ENNIS, Texas (April 24, 2012) – The Import Face Off event has become so popular, the event organizers have added events all over the United States for the 2012 schedule. One addition was a spring version of the fall-favorite, Import Face Off at Texas Motorplex.
Imports will take over the Motorplex this Sunday and new this year will be drifting. Showcasing the best in imported automotive brands, Import Face Off features a car show, truck show, motorcycle show, drag racing, Stereo Crank it Up Contest (Usaci double points), a burnout contest (time permitting), vendor midway and more during the one-day festivals of all things import.
The series is covered by Performance Auto and Sound, Super Street, Honda Tuning and Import Tuner magazines. Cars, trucks and motorcycles are welcome! Live DJs and raffles for prizes will be held throughout the event.

WHAT: Import Face Off is open to all imported automotive brands and features a car show, drag racing and more.
WHERE: Texas Motorplex, Ennis, Texas. Track is located on Hwy. 287, two miles west of Ennis, between Interstates 35 and 45.

SCHEDULE: Gates open 9 a.m. – SPECTATORS PARK IN THE MAIN LOT ON HWY. 287
9 a.m.: Racer registration
9 – noon: Car show registration
Noon: Car Show judging begins
Noon & 1 p.m.: Heads up qualifying
2:30 p.m.: Final eliminations begin
4:30 p.m.: Final round begins
5:30 p.m.: Awards ceremony
TICKETS: Registration available at Pit Gate 10 on the day of event.
Car show: $30 (car and driver, comes with free trial of PAS magazine subscription)
Test-n-tune racer open to ANY make and model: $30
Competition Drag Racer (imports or sport compacts only): $30
Adult spectator $17 and FREE PARKING in the main lot on Highway 287
Children (10 years old and under) FREE. Every ticket includes a pit pass. (Tickets $2 off with IFO flyer.)

Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility ever constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between March and November each year and also features the Champion’s Club – an 11,000 square-foot facility – that serves fully catered events throughout the year.
