ENNIS, Texas (Sept. 18, 2012) – Work in motorsports for one of the premier drag racing facilities in the country. Texas Motorplex is now hiring a regional sales manager.

Who we are: Texas Motorplex is the fastest track in Texas, featuring race and lifestyle events from February through November each year. Our premier events include the AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals, the ADRL World Finals, Super Chevy Show, Fun Ford Weekend, NHRDA spring and fall events, concerts and much more.

Primary scope of projects: Sponsor prospecting through sales calls and meetings, event planning, on-site activation. Additional projects include social and traditional media outreach.

Candidate skill set: Motorsports and car industry knowledge, computer skills, strong work ethic, ability to work nights and weekends before and during events, outgoing, goal-setting individual who is a determined self-starter who fits well in a team environment.

Interviews for highly-qualified individuals with sales experience will take place starting Wednesday, Sept. 19 through Friday, Sept. 28.

Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility ever constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between March and November each year and also features the Champion’s Club – an 11,000 square-foot facility – that serves fully catered events throughout the year.
