FAMOUS TEXAS MOTORPLEX CONCRETE QUARTER-MILE AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC RENTALS, PRIVATE RACE SESSIONS
ENNIS, Texas (Jan. 8, 2013) – Once upon a time, every professional champion NHRA racer started his or her career in a junior dragster or street legal vehicle before working their way up to the high-powered pro ranks.
At its core, drag racing is a grassroots sport open to more participants than most. Anyone with a valid driver’s license and street legal car can race at some of the top venues across the country. Texas Motorplex is one of the more famous racing facilities open to the public as it was the first super-stadium built specifically for drag racing.
Now you can rule the Texas Motorplex and conquer the all-mighty concrete quarter-mile.
Texas Motorplex is available for private test sessions, track rentals, parties and more. The Motorplex competition team will prepare one or both lanes to the same high standards as all scheduled events receive.
Track rentals come with a track crew, timing staff, ambulance and everything else you need to set personal bests in time and speed. Whether you are a seasoned veteran with hundreds of laps of experience or a rookie trying to learn the ropes, the professional staff at the Motorplex will help you launch from the starting line and accomplish your racing goals.
If setting records isn’t a priority, the Motorplex can be used to host corporate events, family gatherings or just random acts of party fun. Start with appetizers in one of the VIP suites before sending all of your guests down the track in their personal vehicles for racing. Finish the event with a cocktail reception and dinner in the suite or Champion’s Club. Whatever your party heart desires, the event staff at Texas Motorplex can make it happen.
For testing and track rental questions, please call Eric McClelland at (972) 878-2641 or fill out this inquiry form.
For suite, Champion’s Club or fully catered event inquiries please fill out this form and someone from the Texas Motorplex Event Center staff will contact you shortly.
Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility ever constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between March and November each year and also features the Champion’s Club – an 11,000 square-foot facility – that serves fully catered events throughout the year.
