NATIONAL HOT ROD DIESEL ASSOCIATION HEADS TO TEXAS MOTORPLEX IN ENNIS, TX FOR TEXAS DIESEL NATIONALS SEASON OPENER FOR THE 2013 NHRDA DIESEL SLED PULLING SERIES
ENNIS, Texas (April 9, 2013) – The National Hot Rod Diesel Association (NHRDA) will bring the 2013 MBRP Diesel Drag Racing Series back to Texas Motorplex, April 13 for the 6th annual NHRDA Texas Diesel Nationals will include some of the top competitors from across the country in diesel drag racing, Show ‘N Shine, Dyno competition and the crowd favorite, Burnout Contest.
For the first time ever the NHRDA will also include a sled pull at the Texas Diesel Nationals. Sled pullers from all over the region will converge on Texas Motorplex for the season opener in the 2013 NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling Series.
The NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling Series will open their season with its very first visit to the Motorplex and the Texas Diesel Nationals. NHRDA officials have built a permanent sled pull track at the facility, for this event and with all the excitement surrounding the new sled pulling series this is shaping up to be the biggest Texas Diesel Nationals ever.
The Texas Diesel Nationals is an action-packed fun filled day for the entire family. Drag racing competitors will race down a ¼ mile track at speeds exceeding 200 mph. Sled pullers will be competing on a brand new purpose built sled pull track that will be in pristine condition for the competition.
The Texas Diesel Nationals will feature world-class drivers, such as 2013 National Champion John Robinson and his Diesel Funny Car, Jared Jones driver of the 200 mph Scheids Diesel Dragster and Eric “The Ragin’ Cajun” Stelly and the 2013 Pro Stock National Championship team the MBRP/Dirty Max. The April 13 event will feature National Championship Diesel Drag Racing competition in six different categories. The sled pull will have competition in three categories with some of the top competitors coming all the way from Indiana for the 2013 NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling Series season opener.
