ENNIS, Texas (Feb. 22, 2013) – Three more fan-favorite musical acts have signed on to perform at the first Cinco de Mayo festival presented by Texas Motorplex. The bands, Stampede and Costumbre along with solo artist Shelly Lares, will all join headliner Intocable for the day-long festival on Sunday, May 5.

The Cinco de Mayo festival will feature music on the main stage on the starting line at Motorplex all day along with specialty food, vendors and more. General admission tickets are on sale now for the advance price of just $20 for adults, $10 for youth under 12 years old and kids 5 and under are free.

Intocable, the award-winning band from Zapata, Texas, has set the tone for all Tejano bands that have followed in their storied, award-winning career.

Stampede is a six-piece outfit that is primed to make a push for the top of the Tejano market. With an energy level that compares to a “stampede,” the band’s live performances display its versatility by mixing covers with its cumbia and ranchera originals.

Formed in 1996 in the DFW Metroplex, the award-winning Stampede is known for its innovative, urban-Tejano sound that respects tradition.

Costumbre, also hails from Zapata, and is a five-man group that has amassed thousands of fans with their amazing songs and sound.

Shelly Lares is a multi-talented singer, songwriter and producer with a high-energy show that showcases her dynamic vocal talent. Lares first signed a record deal with San Antonio-based Manny Records and has toured the world ever since.

Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility ever constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between March and November each year and also features the Champion’s Club – an 11,000 square-foot facility – that serves fully catered events throughout the year.
