Motorplex Bracket Racing Times Changed for Remainder of Season
MOTORPLEX BRACKET RACING TIMES CHANGED FOR REMAINDER OF SEASON
Gate Opens Later to Allow for Cooler Race Temps
Start times for the Texas Motorplex Bracket Racing program have changed, effective immediately. Gates will now open at 5:30 p.m. in hopes of having a cooler track temperature for race time.
Jr. Dragster racing will start with time trials at 6 p.m. Time trials for all other categories will start at 7 p.m.
“We want to start later to avoid the peak heat times, but also want to make sure the Jr. Dragster families aren’t racing after Midnight, so we’ve made a few changes that we think will benefit all of our racers,” Texas Motorplex Competition Director, Eric McClelland, said. “We have bracket racing on five of the next six Saturdays and we want to help make this an even better experience for all of our racers and track crew.”
For more information, contact McClelland at (972) 878-2641 or at firstname.lastname@example.org
Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility ever constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between March and November each year and also features the Champion’s Club – an 11,000 square-foot facility – that serves fully catered events throughout the year.
