Name the NEW Texas Motorplex Mascot and WIN BIG
In order to win, they will have to be aggressive, fearless and powerful — which also just happens to be the same qualities possessed by the Motorplex’s new mascot.
Making its debut at the 28th annual Fall Nationals, the panther, sporting a flame-adorned fire suit, will prowl around the Motorplex, making appearances throughout the weekend. There’s only one problem: the big cat needs a name. And that’s where the fans come into play.
Beginning Aug. 1 and running through Aug. 10, fans will have the opportunity to not only name the panther but also win some amazing prizes. Here’s how it works:
Simply “Like” Texas Motorplex’s Facebook page
Submit entries (there is no limit on the number of entries each person can make) on the Motorplex FB page
Texas Motorplex staff members will then select the top five names
The top five names will then be posted on the Texas Motorplex website and FB page where fans will select the winning name
The fan who submits the winning name will receive FOUR FREE CHAMPION’S CLUB PASSES, as well as premier parking passes, a value of more than $1,200. Champion’s Club is the air-conditioned, 10,000-square-foot facility that features catered meals daily, a full cash bar, TVs and seating with backs on the starting line. All Champion’s Club ticket holders receive premier parking and a souvenir gift bag.
Also, the fans who submit the top five names will each receive two tickets to the 2013 AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals day of their choice.
So go on Facebook, “LIKE” Texas Motorplex and submit your name so our mascot has a name before the quickest and fastest form of racing comes to North Texas.
Tickets for the AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals are available now, ranging from just $10 to $380 for weekend packages. Youth tickets for children 12 and under start as low as $5. Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility ever constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between March and November each year and also features the Champion’s Club – an 11,000 square-foot facility – that serves fully catered events throughout the year.
