NHRDA DIESEL WORLD FINALS READIES TO PUT ON A SHOW AT THE MOTORPLEX
ENNIS, Texas (Sept. 26, 2013) – If any racing series knows their fans and knows how to put on a great show, it’s the NHRDA. They have taken their diesel drag racing series all over the United States and Canada and created legions of loyal fans who love the thundering roar of diesel engines as plumes of black smoke bulge through pipes of all types of diesels.
Texas Motorplex is proud to host the NHRDA World Finals this weekend, complete with country concert and sled pull.
Qualifying for the 2013 NHRDA World Finals at Texas Motorplex starts at 5 p.m. Friday.
Racing continues at 9 a.m. on Saturday in a day packed with events and activities for fans. Diesel racing will be on the track all day featuring Top Diesel, Pro Stock, Pro Street, Super Street, Super Diesel and Sportsman. Eliminations begin at 11 a.m.
The Show-n-Shine area, always a fan favorite, will start at 10 a.m. with plenty of room for fans to wander around the jaw-dropping aray of diesel entries.
The only place more crowded than the show-n-shine is the Diesel Dyno, open to the public. Fans can bring their vehicles and drive on to the dyno trailer and see just what kind of power they pack under the hood.
Once racing is over, Sonny Burgess will be performing a country music concert as the track staff readies the sled pull competition. Sled Pull featuring Super Stock, 3.0 Diesel and 2.6 Diesel starts at 5:30 p.m.
Spectators pay just $25 for a weekend pass good for Friday and Saturday racing, concert and sled pull. Kids 6-12 are just $10 for the weekend and children 5 and under are free. Call (972) 878-2641 for more information.
