All Import Drag Race, Car Show and More

ENNIS, Texas (March 10, 2014) – Import Face-Off has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 27 as the first of two feature events at Texas Motorplex was originally canceled because of cold and wet conditions.

Now, the celebration of all things Import has been rescheduled, allowing all import makes and models a chance to show off racing, drifting and stereo skills long before the season finale Import Face-Off on Nov. 9. Cars, trucks and motorcycles each have their own car show and the test-n-tune racing is open to all makes – foreign and domestic.

Gates will open at 9 a.m. and car registration will be held until noon; car show judging starts at 11 a.m.; racer registration begins at 9 a.m. with head up qualifying at 11 a.m. and noon; Racing eliminations start at 1 p.m.; Awards ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m.


Car/truck/bike show, ¼-mile drag racing, Drifting hosted by, Usaci double points stereo crank it up contest, burnout contest (time permitting), vendors, pit midway, and live DJ.


All spectator tickets and competitor registration forms can be bought on the day of the show at the front gate. Visit the link below to purchase your tickets in advance. Car Show Entry $30 (does not include free passenger pass). *Note, IFO only charges $30 per car show entry, not $50 to $60 like other events that claim to give a “free” passenger pass.

Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility ever constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between March and November each year and also features the Champion’s Club – an 11,000 square-foot facility – that serves fully catered events throughout the year.
