ENNIS, Texas (Feb. 27, 2013) – Bobby Pulido, the 2012 Tejano Artist of the Year, will perform at the first ever Cinco de Mayo Festival at Texas Motorplex on Sunday, May 5.

Pulido, an Edinburg, Texas native, is a platinum-selling recording artist who has claimed honors for nearly 20 years including being named the best Male Vocalist of the Year, entertainer of the year and claimed the song of the year with DIAS DE AYER at the 2011 at the Tejano Music Awards.

Pulido joins a stellar lineup for the day-long family festival: Intocable, Stampede, Costumbre and Shelley Lares.

The Cinco de Mayo festival will feature music on the main stage on the starting line at Motorplex all day along with specialty food, vendors and more. General admission tickets are on sale now for the advance price of just $20 for adults, $10 for youth under 12 years old and kids 5 and under are free.

Parking in the spectator lot is FREE to anyone who buys tickets on or before May 3, 2013. Click here to go to the ticketing page for the Cinco de Mayo festival tickets at Texas Motorplex.

Pulido, a Sniper Records recording artist, is one of the leading artists in Latin Music. Since the release of his first album “Desvelado,” his voice, his style, and his music have made waves in the Grupero and Regional-Mexican genres of the U.S. and Mexico.

Considered by People en Español Magazine as one of the “Most Guapo” (Good Looking) Latin artists, Pulido quickly took the music industry by storm with his selling and drawing power. The ability to cross over musical boundaries as well as bridging the gap between two distinct cultures is one of the most impressive things Pulido has accomplished; all this is attributed to the fact that he can impact both Spanish and English speaking Latinos with his ability to speak both languages fluently.

Intocable, the award-winning band from Zapata, Texas, has set the tone for all Tejano bands that have followed in their storied, award-winning career.

Stampede is a six-piece outfit that is primed to make a push for the top of the Tejano market. With an energy level that compares to a “stampede,” the band’s live performances display its versatility by mixing covers with its cumbia and ranchera originals.

Formed in 1996 in the DFW Metroplex, the award-winning Stampede is known for its innovative, urban-Tejano sound that respects tradition.

Costumbre, also hails from Zapata, and is a five-man group that has amassed thousands of fans with their amazing songs and sound.

Shelly Lares is a multi-talented singer, songwriter and producer with a high-energy show that showcases her dynamic vocal talent. Lares first signed a record deal with San Antonio-based Manny Records and has toured the world ever since.
