GLENDORA, Calif. (Feb. 7, 2014) – NHRA officials announced today that its legion of fans will have easier access than ever before to obtain live race updates, results, driver bios, schedules and more with the new release of the NHRA mobile app, set to launch today at 10 a.m.
The new app will be offered in both a 100 percent free version and a premium version. All of the features and capabilities are the same on both versions of the app, but upgrading from NHRA Mobile (free) to NHRA Premium will offer an ad-free mobile experience for the one-time fee of $2.99.
For fans who have the previous paid app, the NHRA Mobile Premium app will be updated free of charge.
The app, designed by Phunware, the pioneer of Multiscreen as a Service™, will allow fans to be able to follow all of their favorite NHRA drivers as they compete for Mello Yello Drag Racing Series world championships. Some of the great features of the new app include: live up-to-the-second timing of all head-to-head pro and sportsman races, real-time pro race results, the option of purchasing the live NHRA Audiocast as an in-app purchase, all the current videos from NHRA’s YouTube page, as well as a live feed from NHRA’s social media platforms, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The app also will display detailed NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event schedules, and make it possible for fans to purchase NHRA Mello Yello Drag Series event tickets, obtain NHRA news, articles and a full race recap from National DRAGSTER and NHRA.com.
