The Hubcap Stealers Headlines Friday Night Concert at NHRA AAA Texas Fall Nationals
California Father/Son Roots ‘n Roll duo will perform after qualifying
ENNIS, Texas (September 9, 2018) – At the conclusion of the first day of qualifying at the 33rd annual NHRA AAA Texas Fall Nationals, The Hubcap Stealers a two member, father & son duo will perform a live concert at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis. Race fans with tickets will be able to enjoy the concert for free at the NHRA facility located on Highway 287 between Ennis and Waxahachie.
“We are excited to have The Hubcap Stealers perform at the NHRA AAA Texas Fall Nationals. This is really a double benefit for fans,” said Texas Motorplex General Manager Andy Carter. “We should have a huge crowd on Friday so race fans can enjoy some incredible racing followed by some killer music while they let the traffic free up.”
The Hubcap Stealers are in the game to rock ‘n roll. Pushing boundaries as a gritty two-piece band singing about Bibles, Bullets & Devils. Their first record, The Bad Ground, is definitely an eyebrow raiser for sure. It’s got the shock value that wants to make you keep listening to see where the road goes next.
The duo took off in 2012 with father, Neal Sowers, on the guitar and vocals, and son, Ian Sowers, on the drums. Together they possess an edgy sound with dirty reverberated slide guitars and thick chest punching drums.
Once established, they were all over California performing and now they will make their way to Texas to tear up the road and promote their trademark roots ‘n roll power duo sound. Race fans can expect outlaw style songs about more hell raising activities, whether it be rat rods, whiskey, or redemption.
The Hubcap Stealers will bring their unique style to the Texas Motorplex after two sessions of qualifying during the third race of the NHRA Countdown. The two Nitro qualifying sessions featuring Top Fuel and Funny Car are scheduled for 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. with the concert starting shortly after 7 p.m.
