Texas Motorplex Celebrates 40th Annual Texas Fall Nationals

ENNIS, TX (December 10, 2024)

Texas Motorplex has a long history of hosting some of the biggest drag racing events in the country. With the addition of the Stampede of Speed in 2020 the multi-use facility has added one of the fastest growing country music festivals to its list of major entertainment accomplishments.

In 2025 the first NHRA super track will celebrate the 40th annual NHRA Texas Fall Nationals, October 8-12, 2025, as well as the fifth annual Stampede of Speed October 3-12, 2025.

The track will also host a wide variety of national and regional events including the NHRA Right Trailers Jr. Dragster Western Conference Finals. These two signature national events will be surrounded by nationally recognized multi-day races TX2K 2025 and Funny Car Chaos, the NHRA Double Divisional and Street Outlaws LIVE. The track released the entire 2025 event schedule in advance of the Performance Racing Industry Show in Indianapolis.

“We are planning on making the 40th NHRA Texas Fall Nationals the biggest and best national event the track has ever hosted,” said Christie Meyer Johnson, Texas Motorplex co-owner. “We have a specialty logo for the event and there will be promotions leading up to the race that will generate interest and excitement across the country. The Stampede of Speed will once again be the signature event of our season, and the country music acts combined with the Texas traditions will take the 10-day event to the next level.”

“We are thrilled to be hosting the Junior Dragster Western Conference finals again,” said Meyer Johnson. “The return of TX2K, Funny Car Chaos and Street Outlaw LIVE will bolster a strong schedule that has something for everyone in 2025.”

Highlight events in 2025 will include:

Texas Motorplex Bracket Series (February 21-23, June 27-28 and July 25-26)

Bracket racing returns to Texas Motorplex with three events, the season opening event in February, a mid-season June race and a July event highlighting the best local and regional racers competing for big money.

TX2K 2025 (March 11-16)

Recognized as the super bowl of street car events this nearly week-long race returns to Texas Motorplex March 11-16, TX2K25 will consist of five action-packed days of motorsports, including test-and-tune, qualifying and elimination rounds for drag racing, roll racing and related contests.

Funny Car Chaos Classic (April 4-5)

Featuring nitro burning cars from Funny Car Chaos and Nitro Chaos, this mega-event is a crowd pleaser. This throwback event highlights the Funny Cars from the past with the thrill of high speed performance.

NHRA Double Divisional (May 15-18)

This event will feature the future NHRA stars in Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car battling for critical championship points. Four full days of racing action will kick off the summer season.

Stampede of Speed and NHRA Fall Nationals (October 3-12)

The 40th annual Texas Fall Nationals will anchor the Stampede of Speed and feature concerts, bull riding, lantern festival, beer expo and racing with more drag racing leading up to the cornerstone event of the Motorplex schedule. Fans will be treated to every NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series pro categories, as well as the premiere Lucas Oil categories and the JEGS All-Stars.

Street Outlaws LIVE (October 24-25)
